Lake Muskoka East Bay 2002

Located on Lake Muskoka, this cottage on East Bay was built in 2002.  The 5500 square foot cottage was inspired by European chalet architecture.  The property was constructed with solid wood without the use of drywall.  The heart of the house is a large octagonal living room complete with a grandious natural stone fireplace. 

Walkers Point 2016

At 5,200 square feet, this Timberframe six-bedroom, five-bathroom cottage was built by Blekkenhorst Construction in 2016.  Complete with a detached garage, the three-storey build features custom millwork, trim and structural features in addition to its fully finished walk-out basement.  

Lake Muskoka Ashforth Renovation 2017

In 2017, Blekkenhorst Construction completed a 2,700 square foot cottage renovation on a Lake Muskoka family cottage.  From expansive stonescaping to creating a comfortable coastal comfortable cottage, the clients wanted to blend the heritage of the property with updates and renovations to accommodate their lifestyle. 

Lake Muskoka 2015

Built over 9-months, the Discovery Dream Homes cottage was constructed with traditional Timberframe components.  The clients wanted to maximize the potential of the property's footprint while blending the dwelling into the natural surroundings. The 1800 square foot floor plan features three bathrooms and three bedrooms.  The property was featured in Our Homes Magazine

Moon River 2006

In 2006, Blekkenhorst Construction renovated and completely remodelled the interior and exterior of this Moon River family cottage.  The owners of the 3,200 square foot cottage wanted to update and modernize while keeping its heritage charm.  From custom trim and moldings to the oversized staircase and ballisters, the goal of this renovation was to ensure the property looked perfectly preserved rather than modernized.

Milford Bay Garage 2009

Built in 2009, the Milford Bay Garage was built to house recreational items and vehicles at a vacation home.  The 1,400 square foot building features three garage bays.  The charcoal siding is accented by white trim and doors and a dramatic red steel roof.
